    PG Biotech is a leader in providing high-quality, PCR-based molecular diagnostic assays (tests) in China. It was built in Shenzhen high-tech industrial park with approval from Shenzhen civil government in 1999. PG Biotech has established the first GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) manufacturing plant certified by the SFDA for in vitro diagnostic products in China. It is also the enterprise that was responsible for “Fluorescence PCR Gene Detection High-technology Industrial Project” approved by National Planning Committee. PG Biotech has established entire enclosed automated production processes and strict quality monitoring and management system in accordance with the GMP requirements, and is equipped with an annual production output capacity of 30 million tests of PCR kits.

    PG Biotech company has a large number of professionals and has developed and produced more than 20 types of PCR detection kits so far. It has received the most production approval certificates among the domestic drug manufacture industry. It obtained the new drug approval certificate for HIV detection kits and HBV detection kits from the State Drug Administration in May and June in 2002 and the new drug certificate for “New Model of AIV Nucleic Acid Amplification PCR Detection Kits” in September 2003. PG Biotech is the first enterprise in China that begins to produce and sell AIV Amplification PCR detection kits. While researching and developing clinical fluorescence PCR detection kits, PG Biotech has been engaged in the R&D of blood screening PCR detection kits, national quarantine PCR detection kits and so on. Several achievements of the company have achieved the assessment from the national experts and the products have been promoted to the market.
